Summer Jefferson Symposium

Jefferson’s Love of the Written Word
On the University of Virginia’s Grounds in Charlottesville, VA | June 21 – 24, 2012

Thomas Jefferson was known for numerous things; he was a complex man composed of many layers. Join us as we review his writings and discover the lesser known facts about this famous founding father.

During this four-day symposium, we will flip through the pages to reveal him as a poet, father, philosopher, politician and much more. Be a part of this living novel as we walk in his footsteps at his home, Monticello, and on the Grounds of the University of Virginia. We will study the true person behind this remarkable leader as we explore Jefferson’s Love of the Written Word. Visit the website for details and to register.

The Lifetime Learning Program in the U.Va.’s Office of Engagement invites you to follow these weekly posts before you join us in June for the Summer Jefferson Symposium or if your schedule does not permit you to be here.
