<p>The Development Associate, UVA Children&#8217;s Hospital plays a critical role in the administrative support of all Children&#8217;s Hospital development operations. The Development Associate works closely with a four-person Children&#8217;s Hospital development staff, including the Director of Development, Associate Director of Development, Director of Annual Giving and Children&#8217;s Miracle Network Coordinator.</p>
<p>The Development Associate will be the primary point of contact for many Children&#8217;s Hospital-related inquires, and they will be responsible for scheduling meetings and maintaining databases as well as a variety of administrative tasks in support of development. Additionally, he/she will assist with direct mail and email campaigns, campaign reporting, and event planning. This Development Associate will also have frequent communication with health system faculty, staff, donors and volunteers.</p>

<p>The Director of University Arts Development will be responsible for developing appropriate fundraising strategies to support the Arts at the University of Virginia. The Director of University Arts Development will report directly to the Associate Vice President for Development and will work closely with the Vice Provost for the Arts.</p>
<p>The Director of University Arts Development will have programmatic responsibilities that enhance the fundraising efforts for the Arts. These efforts include prioritizing funding needs based on the strategic plan for the Arts; serving as the senior arts development representative for various arts volunteer boards; managing the Arts Council, creating a campaign plan based on the priorities of the strategic plan; managing the Arts board; and serving as an Arts advocate by communicating and collaborating with colleagues in schools/units across Grounds, as well as volunteers supporting the Arts efforts. <p>The Administrative Staff Associate plays a critical role in the executive administrative support of the Associate Vice President&#8217;s (AVP) team. This position works closely with the AVP and the Director of Development for Health Foundation Affairs (DoDHFA) to ensure the efficient operations and administrative functions of the UVA Health Foundation and the overall Office of Health System Development.</p>
<p>The Administrative Staff Associate is responsible for coordinating all facets of executive level meetings and correspondence for the AVP, maintaining calendars for both the AVP and DoDHFA, overseeing travel arrangements and reimbursements, maintaining an efficient filing and tracking systems for tasks related to the function of the AVP team, and preparing various reports and documentation as requested. The Administrative Staff Associate often serves as the initial point of telephone and/or email contact for high level Health System leadership, trustees, and prospective donors who seek to contact the AVP. The Administrative Staff Associate also assists with coordinating logistics for all Health Foundation board meetings, attends the meetings, and is responsible for preparing pre-and-post-meeting related materials including agendas, preparatory notebooks, PowerPoint slides for presentations, minutes, and other follow up correspondence as requested.</p>
