The Strickler Family Eminent Scholars Professorship in Transplant Surgery

1996

The Strickler Family Professorship in Transplant Surgery was created with a gift from Judith Strickler and the late Charles O. Strickler and their children. The Stricklers also created the Charles O. Strickler Transplant Research Endowment. The University’s transplant center has been named the Charles O. Strickler Transplant Center. Mr. Strickler was the president of Rocco, Inc., a major poultry producer based in Harrisonburg, Virginia, and a past president of the Virginia Turkey Association and the National Turkey Federation. Judith Strickler serves on the University Medical Center’s Advisory Committee and the University’s Transplant Advisory Committee.

The Strickler Family Eminent Scholars Professorship in Transplant Surgery in the School of Medicine is currently vacant. Pending approval by the Board of Visitors, a chairholder will be named to the professorship in the future.
